Empower your inner hero for better health and wellness
Challenge
We want to empower employees to conquer the challenges of ageing with optimum well-being.
We address the rising prevalence of minor health issues and stress-related mental problems to tackle them through healthier dietary choices, active lifestyles, optimal work and social environment, reliable insurance, and much more.

User Research & Problem Statement
User research was conducted to better understand how people make decisions about their health to discover ways that help them to make healthier choices and encourage using preventive care.
Survey Results
The survey participants were asked to define what preventive care means to them and how they rank the different areas in terms of importance
Most important preventive care areas
Emotional / mental health
Chronic disease control
Physical condition
Most underserved preventive care areas
Emotional / mental health
Longevity
Social relationships
User Interviews
The research focused on +40 years professionals who can afford preventive healthcare and impacted by the ageing process. The 8 user interviews conducted revealed a significant finding: working mothers who juggle their professional responsibilities with family duties constitute one of the most vulnerable groups.
Problem statements
How might we reduce the feeling of guilt when spending 2-hours a week for self-care, because taking care of the health is not considered part of personal responsibility therefore not prioritised
How might we help to find trusted source of information easily, instead of turning to irrational methods and remedies that can be harmful
Ideation
After discovering a wide range of ideas using creative ideation methods the Self-Care App concept was born. Making employee wellbeing tangible and measurable for companies by providing a variety of incentives for working parents to prioritise their health.
Product Roadmap
The key product features were mapped out alongside the customer journey and prioritised. Must-have capabilities including personalisation of user profile, participation in health challenges, tracking and sharing progress, collecting and redeeming reward points.
UX / UI Design
During the UX / UI phase of the project, I gained a better understanding of users´ mental models about Self-care to define the information architecture and designed a seamless user interaction that I have visualised through mid-and hi-fidelity prototypes that were tested with users.

User flows
Building user flows before wireframing helped to ensure a seamless and intuitive journey for users.
Log-in scenario: Emma receives the URL code by email from her line manager. She copies the link into the Self-Care App Sign-up screen to start creating her account.
Create Profile Scenario: Emma created her account and now she is asked to answer some profiling questions and set up her preferences to get the best experience from the app.
Find and start new challenge Scenario: Emma enters the Self-care App and she is excited to find her first challenge to start to help her reduce her stress level at work.
Complete Challenge Scenario: Emma has started the walk & talk meetings this week and she wants to diligently track her progress to show how much she already done. When she finishes the challenge, she notifies her Line Manager and HR partner to earn her Self-Care points.
Redeem Self-Care reward points Scenario: Emma has been diligently participating in different challenges and earning Self-Care points. She wants to use some of the points to redeem the yoga-mat.
Wireframes
Steps of rapid ideation and iteration took place to facilitate early feedback and keeping the focus on essential functionality.
Useability testing
In-person moderated usability sessions revealed several improvement areas to make the solution more intuitive and desirable for users.

Conclusion
In conclusion, the development of the WellGoBe App represents a significant step towards empowering busy working parents to prioritize their health and well-being within their demanding lifestyles. By leveraging a membership-based preventive care approach, the app not only facilitates access to valuable self-care resources but also fosters a supportive community environment tailored to the needs of employees. Through a carefully designed user experience comprising seven main screens and over 35 micro-features, the app aims to seamlessly integrate into users’ daily routines, providing motivation and reinforcement for positive health behaviors.
From a business perspective, the WellGoBe App offers companies an opportunity to invest in the well-being of their employees, thereby improving overall productivity and reducing stress-related issues. By selling memberships to corporations and offering incentives for participation, the app not only increases its active user base but also opens avenues for additional revenue streams such as referrals and partnerships with third-party services.
